Smarty Pants and Fun with Lucy

I am officially the smartest baby ever...
I got a new book, it is called "That's Not My Kitten" (I also have "That's Not My Princess", another fantastic book, I read it last month for my book club). Mommy read it to me a couple of times and by the third time, when Daddy read it, I knew where to put my hands to feel all the different textures and materials! I especially love the kitty's fluffy tummy! I now think that every book should have fun things to feel, and I take my fingers and scan each page of every book. I think someone should come out with a touch and feel "Good Night Moon"!
These are my new instruments, I bang them together and make beatiful music!
I love my puppy Lucy, and I think she sort of likes me. Mommy says it would be better if I didn't poke her eyeballs all the time.

Waterbabies!!

This week in waterbabies was VERY exciting and Grandpa Larry and Grandma Bev were there to capture the moments! We went under water 1,000 times, I went down a SLIDE and we did torpedoes!! It was scary but very fun.
This is the way we splash around, splash around, splash around!
Here is a picture of us doing Humpty Dumpties on the wall. We sing Humpty Dumpty and then when mommy sings "had a great fall" she brings me in the water...
and under the water...
and back out of the water!
This is a torpedo...our teacher takes me and throws me under water to mommy. Mommy goes under and catches me. She said that she just saw my big blue eyes coming at her. Why is mommy wearing goggles and I am not??
Here are the slide pictures...in the top one you can probably see the fear in my poor baby eyes.
I think I know what is happening, she is going to plop me in the water - and that is exactly what happened!! Mommy caught me under water though. It was kind of fun and kind of scary!
Then mommy gives me kisses and says how proud she is of me!
Blowing bubbles. Actually mommy is blowing bubbles - hey mom, do you know that I just peed in the water? You might not want to stick your mouth in there... ew

Boise Girls Weekend

Mommy and me took our first trip alone together, a little girls weekend if you will! I did absolutely wonderful on the plane - model baby. We went to visit mommy's friend Kirstin, her baby in her tummy, her son (and future boyfriend of mine) Ryder, and Ryder's daddy Jeremy. We had a BLAST!!! I experienced many firsts on this trip, see below!
My new BF and I making out in the exersaucer.
My very first swing ride at the park! You can't tell in this picture, but I absolutely loved it! Mommy has been taking me back at home to the park too, it is my new favorite thing to do!
In this picture, as you can see, I am very skeptical about what is going on...I am strapped in to some sort of contraption that is attached to what I think is a bicycle. Are they seriously going to pull me around in this? I am kind of scared.
Okay, yes they seriuosly pulled me around. Are these blankies supposed to keep me safe?? It was actually very fun though. Mommy, me, Kirstin and Ryder rode into town and got some yummy (so I hear) Mexican food for dinner (I am eating a lot more now, but have yet to graduate to enchiladas).
This was my dinner...a picnic of green beans in the park. Yum.
My girls weekend to Boise was so much fun, I hope we can go visit again!

A Tooth A Tooth, Hooray A Tooth!!

Yes, yes, this drooling baby FINALLY got a tooth!! However, don't expect to see any pictures of it just yet. I am a little shy about my new little sharp pokey things in my mouth. I will show them off when I am ready...in the meantime here are some pictures of me practicing teething, crawling backwards, looking pretty, and missing my mommy.
This black piece of candy sure does taste good, and I have fun chewing on it watching the tv turn on and off. I wonder who is doing that??
Daddy put the computer in your mouth, come on it is yummy! Still crawling backwards...
Look at how pretty I am!! No more "Hey little fella" from the dumb lady at the grocery store. This is one of my first official pictures with teeth, although I wouldn't show them to the camera.
Don't I look sad?? Mommy left me for a whole day and I was a little depressed. I did have Grandma Bev and Grandpa Larry to cheer me up and we had fun!

On the Move

I am so close to being mobile! I get on my hands and knees and rock back and forth, and then I move backwards! My toys just get farther and farther away, and it is so frustrating! I am hoping that soon I can figure out what to do with my chubby little legs to move forward. I think mommy is hoping that too, I am pretty fussy these days because I just want my toys!

No fussiness here, just a very happy naked baby.
Here I go again, crawling backwards underneath daddy's pillow.
If you look closely on my left ear (your right) you can see that my hair is starting to cover my ears!
Who me?
Back to this crawling thing, here I am after having moved around, where are my f*&(ing toys??
Here they are, but where am I???? See what I mean, frustrating!
Auntie Elissa, what is in here?? Can I have some?
I still drool a lot and still have yet to pop out a tooth.
Like my little school girl outfit?
This is how happy I am that it was sunny this weekend! I look pretty cute in overalls if I do say so myself.

Mother's Day

Happy 1st Mother's Day mommy! We spent a great day as a family. First we did the Y-Me breast cancer charity walk and I met Ronald McDonald (you can see below what I thought of him), then we had a yummy brunch at Salish Lodge. I didn't nap all morning just so I could spend time with mommy!
Who's this clown think he is?
Nanna, mommy and me and brunch, bring on the mimosas!
My lovely family.

6 Months!

I am 6 months away from the biggest party of the year - my 1st birthday! I am getting very, very big. I can sit up by myself (most of the time, sometimes I topple, but I only cry 75.3% of the time when that happens), I eat big girl food and I even take swim lessons!
Little cherub
This is my severe concentration look, I get it from daddy.
This is one of my waterbabies outfits. Mommy and I go to waterbabies every Friday. It is so much fun, I laugh and smile the whole time, except for when they dunk me. For some reason mommy blows in my face and then before I know it I am under water! (Look for some video to be posted soon) It is really fun though, my best friends Ayla and Ellie are in class with me and we all have an agreement to pee right when we get in the water - hee hee.

Added to the food pyramid - baby fingers. YUM
They are good roasted, baked, bbq'd or with a lot of baby drool.
I love the view from sitting up, I actually hate to lie down now. My mommy is frustrated because I don't roll over, but who needs to roll over when I can sit on my own!
I love oatmeal!
or not...
